L2 Development Through Multimedia Glossing

Description: Multimedia glossing is a technological tool in which an in-text definition of a word is provided to the reader. The different types of multimedia glossing include text, audio, picture, video, as well as a combination of these. It has been proven to help with L2 development by improving text comprehension and vocabulary development. Combination glossing has been identified as the most beneficial type of multimedia glossing when acquiring a new language.

El glosador multimedia es una herrmienta tecnológica que proporciona al lector una definición en texto de una palabra. Los diferentes tipos de glosador multimedia incluyen texto, audio, imagen, vídeo, y una combinación de estos. Ayuda con el desarrollo de L2 porque mejora la comprensión del texto y el desarrollo de vocabulario. El glosador combinado es el tipo más beneficioso de glosador multimedia con la adquisición de un nuevo idioma.
